Mr. Steve Holland received his Bachelor's of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. He also holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. Before coming to Galena, Mr. Holland taught at Warren Jr./Sr. High School (Warren, IL), River Ridge Middle School Bloomington, WI), Mineral Point High School (Mineral Point, WI). Mr. Holland continues to perform on a regular basis. He has played with various jazz groups in the area and at several weddings, collegiate events, and as a soloist in the Sinsinawa Mounds performance of a Handel's Messiah. He is a member of the Galena Brass and has also preformed in Doug Allen's "American Icon: Tribute to Johnny Cash" show. Mr. Holland has been selected as a "Who's Who among American Teachers" numerous times. He also was a "Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year" in 2005 and Anderson-Weber Teacher of the Month in September 2007. He has also done clinician work, guest conducted the SWAL MS Honor Band, and dabbles in arranging and composing.

Mr. Michael Suau graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Music Education from Illinois State University, where he performed with the Big Red Marching Machine Drumline as well as the ISU Wind Symphony. He has worked with the Olympia High School Drumline as well as the University High School Front Ensemble, and recently completed his student teaching ex perience at Eureka High School and Eureka Middle School. He has also performed with the Peoria Municipal Band and the Prairie Wind Ensemble.

Miss Victoria Schuler graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Music Education from Elmhurst College. Throughout her college experience, Miss Schuler participated in multiple choral ensembles including The Elmhurst College Concert Choir, Women's Chorus, and Blue Vocal Jazz Ensemble. These ensembles provided numerous performance experiences, such as the Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess Concert and Chicago concert of Andrea Bocelli's Tour, that developed Miss Schuler's skill and professionalism as a musician. Miss Schuler spent the 2nd semester of the 2017-2018 school year as a building substitute teacher at Wheaton Warrenville South High School and as a Permanent Choral Substitute at Batavia High School. |

Mrs. Kerri Rijpma holds a Masters of Music Education degree from Kent State University. Prior to completing her graduate degree, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. While at UW-Platteville, she performed with several ensembles on campus including Chamber Choir, Coro d'Angeli, University Singers, and UWP Jazz Ensemble. She also participated Mostly Mozart and Other Musicals and Oklahoma!. Before joining the musicdepartment in Galena, Mrs. Rijpma taught K-12 general and choral music at the River Ridge School District in Hanover, Illinois, for six years. She directed the middle and high school choirs as well as taught general music for kindergarten through fifth grade. She also served as a director for the high school's musicals and assistant director for drama productions. Mrs. Rijpma enjoys playing piano in her free time as well as singing at her church.
